Intrinsic value of human life is a Christian concept. Human beings are made in the image of God and belong to Him as our creator. He has the final authority in determining when life can be ended and He has given us guidelines to use to make such judgements.

When you remove God from the picture, you are left with relativism where human life has no intrinsic value but is worth only what society (or whoever wields the biggest stick in society) says it is. If society determines that the preborn or the elderly and infirm are not valuable, then they can determine that and no one can really argue against them.

The problem is that God will judge this sort of thinking and action because peopel are inherently valuable.

Recognizing the intrinsic value of human life doesn't mean you are claiming that living everyday life with any particular person or group is possible.

Like convicted felons.

They have to be separated from society to ensure safety. However, that doesn't mean we should disregard their intrinsic value as human beings.

Good thing that happened a long time ago 4cubbies. It doesn't today. How long should people who weren't there and didn't commit these act keep getting beat over the head with it? How many decades before we can quit dividing people and leave this behind? 10, 20, 30+

Seems you have a personal problem or insecurity that I'm not aware of. Continuously griping will not solve anything.
