So as someone who has consumed world history for decades now, as perhaps my favorite area of study/reading... one perplexing question that was never fully answered was: How did the NAZIs get so many tens of thousands of soldiers, guards, etc. to be so inhumanely cruel to the Jews (both in the ghettos and in the death camps) as well and other ethnicities and POWs? And have the average German citizen look the other way?

Of course, the groundwork was laid by the economic conditions of Germany throughout the 1930s. And more specifically, some of the answers are found in the Milgram Experiment (Yale in early 1960s) and the Stanford Prison Experiment (1971).

But not until witnessing the events of the deranged, white-people-loathing, America-hating modern Left since late-May 2020 can I say that I fully comprehend how conditions can materialize to cause a repeat of the hatefulness and inhumanity of the NAZIs.

The hundreds of examples of behavior we have seen show, with NO ambiguity, how evil the Left truly is, especially if unchallenged by the media and with friendly "supposedly moderate" Democrats giving encouragement and cover for the hatefulness and inhumanity.

My family ran through the woods escaping the nazis. 1. I would never claim their hardships as my own. 2. The left has more hate than anyone else in this country

If I am reading this reply right, you think I am claiming the misery of the victims of the NAZIs as equivalent to my own, as an American, white, constitutional conservative in 2020? I am not doing so.

I AM saying that I now more fully comprehend the societal and psychological shifts that occurred in the 1930s in Germany THAT LED to the inhumanity of events of the 1940s in Europe.

Yes, everyone sitting back waiting for someone else to do something. Before you know it, you're digging your own grave. If we don't demand a stop to these riots now, they'll spread like wild fire. At that point this country will never be the same. That is their goal. Take control by any means or burn it to the ground.

Not directed specifically at you. I find it appalling in a general sense. Discussing history in context is what we should do

The Nazis popularity was due to them opposing and defeating the Bolshevists who acted the same way as Antifa. The Jewish hate was because the Nazis believed and convinced the German people that Jewish money was backing the Bolshevist revolution and they were infiltrating the media and Govt institutions.

Seeing events today, I’m not sure if the Nazis were wrong in their claims. Doesn’t make mass murder ok though
