So health insurance is the problem NOT healthcare. The finances are what’s screwed up.

at 3500 employees they're probably self insuring with BC/BS being the administrator but not the insurer and your employer has a lot to say about things like co-pays and deductibles.
i'm with united my primary co-pay is $20, specialist $30. i went to see my dermie who's like smoking hot, sorry no pictures and it was 30 bucks and the two steroid ointments she prescribed where $8 at kroger pharmacy both are generic.
when a company self insures they're not paying premiums they're paying actual claims and a fee to the administrator to process those claims.premiums are set based on last years actual claims.
