I love the logic of the Democrat. Democrats frick up an entire system that is now on the precipice of collapse. Republicans will own the failure of the health care system if the save it by repealing the system that is about to collapse upon itself.
The real state of affairs is that the Republicans will be heroes if they get rid of the individual mandate and chuck this system out. The states will then be free to do what they want to handle the PEC and high risk issues. Democrats will tout the marginal failures of the system while a huge majority will thank Republicans for removing the individual mandate burden from them.
Only the Democrat could threaten Republicans if they dare to do something that is enormously popular. It would be akin to Democrats telling Republicans they will be responsible for any and all damaged products purchased if they dare to give the populace free money.
