Amazing how a light comes on to how large the government is once someone takes the plunge to business ownership.
It doesn't matter if all your profits are in invested in your business and you have no cash you still have to pay taxes in cash.

The reason it's a pipe dream is that most people don't understand it. Hell, most people tune you out when you start talking about tax reform.
Our politicians in DC don't want it because the Fair Tax usurps their power. They no longer will have the ability to use the IRS for political purposes. The only way it gets passed is for a strong majority of Americans to want it passed. Since, most people don't understand it, or have misconceptions about it, we are nowhere near that point.
I was hoping the IRS scandal would help give the Fair Tax some momentum.

got my Obamaphone today, with built in RFID chip for food stamps and other free goodies. For some reason blackpanthers.org is the default homepage and an alarm is set to go off 5 times a day.

If you wanted to see a pure blood-running-in-the-streets revolt, just make every US citizen (hell, even add in illegals) stroke a tax check to the Fed government at the end of every month instead of withholding it from their check.

Yeah. The only time I can remember getting a letter telling me that I would get another letter was when the Neilson's wanted me to keep a diary of my TV watching.

You don't believe the facts of a direct quote of Dear Leader from a speech last year do you? How many times has he lied using the phrase "you can keep this or that" or cutting of program benefits to taxpayers that had the system take money from their pockets over a life time of earning?

Got the call today that i need to write an $11000 check to the US Treasury. But its my fair share so thats OK. I know the govt will be responsible with my money.

You make enough to where a casual miscalculation could mean $11k - or your quarterly amount is $11k which still means you make bank.
