Plus, it has to be a time of war for them to be federalized. Are they going to declare war somewhere just to pull the Texas NG?

Almost none of the times the NG has been federalized were during a declared war.

The problem is the state of TX does not control the points of entry. FEDGOV does. Abbott isn't going to send the Texas Rangers to the border to arrest the border patrol and INS agents to get them out of the way.

This is what I'm thinking too...but I wonder what they can do to punish the NGOs that are facilitating this and stop them from operating in TX. Cause once they get past the border points, then TX should have reign.

1) go to jail for being illegal 2 ) return to their home country 3) heres a list of sanctuary cities you will be bused too and you can't return or be arrested and sent back. Obviously take pictures, fingerprints, DNA for all I care, etc.

1. Where are they going to jail 700,000 inmates?

3. How can you transport 700,000 people?

The only method here is to stop them from coming in. Seal the border tight. It should have been done 3 Presidents ago.

I don't think they can be federalized if they are already deployed in a domestic local emergency.

They can. Or at least, I have not seen any prohibition on doing so.

"unable to execute the laws of the United States" can be interpreted to be broad as frick, IMO.

On a personal level, I do not. Let them say what they’re going to. But… when I mention the narratives it is about how the Republican Party will be smeared. Did it matter that Obama had those kids wrapped up like burritos and separated families? Not according to the media. That was Trump’s personal animus towards non-whites. It’s a false narrative but it still takes hold and the Republican Party is attached to it by extension. The soccer moms don’t like that at all and they matter a lot in battleground states. So again on a personal level I don’t care what they say.. we have to hold our ground. But that comes at great risk in the elections. Our side is horrible at messaging. The dems dominate us there. Narratives, especially the false ones, can mind frick large groups of people into voting against themselves.

They've already made us a victim. They just had some Mexican gangster kill a bunch of white people at a mall and they are blaming it on white supremacy. I

No issue with your overall point, but this does need to be cleared up. Only one white person was killed, the security guard, the rest was a mix of hispanics, koreans, and dot indians.

Abbott is such a huge letdown. Typical useless and spineless GOP governor.

Although I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment of Abbott, there's very little a state can do in enacting immigration policy. That was determined by the Supreme Court in 2012 per a case out of Arizona-- immigration is the purview of the federal govt, not the states.

They all fall under 3 categories:

1. Riots - Insurrection Act justifies this
2. Storm Cleanup - with approval from the governors
3. Postal strike (to deliver mail) - with approval from the governor

I don't know where that is coming from.

Multiple Presidents in a row federalized NG troops to bring black kids to school.

My only point is that if POTUS wants to federalize them at the border, they'll find some law that the US is otherwise "unable to enforce", or have DOJ/DHS determine that they are needed to "restore order" and just do it.

What is wrong with him and the republican party???? If we value our society and security, this invasion must be taken seriously and ended.

It is clear that the replacement theory was not just a "conspiracy theory." What Germany is doing by making a deal with Kenya to bring kin 250k Africans into their nation is a sick reminder of this type of self destruction. Especially when they can bring in euros from say Ukraine to help, and at least keep it similar. It really is disgusting what the white guilt cuck boomer crowd is doing to this world.

Troops Arrive

You know, I view myself as primarily an Independent, but when it comes to illegal immigration, I'm in the "What part of illegal do you not understand" camp.

I'm fine with legal immigration if they do it according to the rules. And I think not everyone should be able to get in just because they want to, so some level of quotas/year makes sense. But when it comes to cartel members, drug dealers and such going back and forth across the border, that's an attack and you should be able to defend your border and kill those cockroaches on site if needed.

But apparently, some outdated act dating back to the Civil War, limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.

History of the Posse Comitatus Act.

There are several situations in which the Act does not apply like National Guard units, state defense forces etc.

Posse Comitatus Act Explained

Time to strengthen or sunset that Act.

IDK man just figure something out a long time ago to get some out and/or make it hard for them to even want to stay in TX and just self deport themselves. Get them in and process them out to other states.

No shite sherlock...people have been complaining about this for ever, but nothing we can do about it here now, as we can't go back in time. What you are complaining about needing to be done isn't going to happen right now so finding current possible solutions is the only way to go.

Not sure why you are getting your panties in a wad with me. Especially since you are someone that hates the one President that has actually tried to do something with the border and was stopped by both sides as the "leaders" on the "right" didn't step up either.

Well you can apparently fit about 10 in a Ford Fiesta, so we just need 7,000 Fiestas making 10 trips each.
