Sounds like the Hunter laptop situation all over again.
I have to wonder how much of what gets blamed on the media has to do with systemic corruption of the sources they use to generate stories.
Use this case as an example:
1) media gets a tip that there was voter fraud in MI
2) they call the MI State Police who answer truthfully that no current investigation is underway (because it was turned over to the FBI)
3) The media calls the FBI and the FBI indicates no investigation is underway (because it was compartmentalized and killed)
How is the media supposed to report on that story without proof the FBI killed the story? Unless a whistleblower comes forward from the FBI to blow the lid off how would anyone know what actually happened?
