I'm more concerned about the protests this is gonna inevitably start with Memphis being ground zero.

Why the hate for the man in Memphis? He stepped up at the end of his life, made that speech when it damn sure wasn't PC to do so and was a uniter, not a divider.
This needs to be pointed out to people. A lot of them don't even know about it.

You need to educate yourself - Nathan Bedford Forrest is still studied at US Military Academies for his tactical wizardry. THE most effective cavalry commander on either side of the Civil War.
Forrest was one of the founders of the KKK - but it was organized to oppose the excesses of the Reconstruction era governance imposed on the south.
He disassociate himself from the KKK when it turned toward harassing/attacking blacks.
At least that is the scenario that I learned during my youth.

Unfortunately the Winners get to Write(rewrite) History. Forrest was a Hero and an American Patriot. Most people do not know the true Reason for the Civil War. It’s Sad.
