quote:Noem and Haley are probably considering runs. 2024 should be set for another strong GOP field. I suspect if Biden loses, Dems will finally turn back to their Governors. Cuomo and Newsom will lead that group.
I really think the republicans run a woman as a VP or President candidate in 2024.

If he does he has to keep the beard. He comes off as a creep otherwise.

He will run for President again. He learned a lot from Trump.
If he loses, he will eventually replace McConnell as SML.

When Ted ran for president, I think most people would agree he was very qualified for the position. He just didn’t have it, he wasn’t personable enough, and didn’t have the charisma to capture people.
Since that time I feel like he has grown a lot and is winning over more people.
Since that time he almost lost to Beto O'Rourke in a state where the Republican Gov candidate crushed his Dem opponent.

Ted was my guy in 2016.
He'll be my guy in 2024.

He barely beat Beto for Senate.
That's bull shite. He beat Beta squarely in an off year, low turnout election. Wasn't even close.

2006, K Bailey won with 62% of the vote.
2012, Cruz won with 57% of the vote (50% turn out).
2018, Cruz won with 51% of the vote, the gov won with 56% of the vote (53% turn out). Ted is the reason Harris lost Ed Emmett and is now burdened with Lina Hidalgo.
I guess his voters were the "low turnout" you were referencing?

Beto was a nightmare matchup for the GOP. He was a good candidate that ran a really good campaign. Unfortunately, that seat will continue to receive great national interest from the Dems. I think Lizzie Fletcher is one to watch in the future.

If you read Cruz's new book he says he does not want to be on SC. He wants to set policy and govern. It's obvious he's running for President.

You have to look at assumption of the Trump
mantle and who is remotely capable. He has at least started to show some of the same nastiness. I have grown to like him more from what was an extremely negative view a few years ago.
