They call things like that "dog whistles"

Funny thing about a dog whistle, no one but dogs can hear them.

Do you hear them?

Correct. I was just pointing that out with this comment:

quote:

deciding anti-semitism is a much bigger issue than anti-Christian sentiment and then deciding draconian anti-semitism laws are needed.

Which is why I asked you to cite the exact time in the video when he discussed these laws, to point out that you're doing the above, as that is not part of his argument in the video posted.

What was discussed in the video posted was the use of this phrase for hatred, hence my comment (which you quoted when created the straw man above)

TED: * "It was not the Jews who killed Jesus. It was you. It was me.

Come on man

Some one remind Ted that Jesus let himself be the sacrifice. It had to be so the World could be saved. Even the non believers. There is no hate.

Have a great day

That is within the context of believing/supporting the ideas. That also leads to the idea of community by obtaining the secret knowledge of that "hidden" message.

That level of mental incompetency of emotional brokenness isn't required to observe them, though. Arguing otherwise would be quite silly.

Spearheading "Movements" you say?? That's distortion of the truth as much as Ted. You and Ted seem to be spearheading the same conspiracy theory.

Btw, have you watched the complete video yet?

Message board my dawg, not a courtroom. I can quote anything I wish and use it to make any comment I wish. That comment was not for you nor was it directed at you. It was a general comment.

Relax.
Drink some coffee
Eat a kolache
Be a normal human
This ain't about gotcha
So stop being a dumbass.

Nope. No strawman. I just played off your "imagine sincere Christian" shite. Did not try to use anything I said as an argument against what you said. That lack of argument is what makes my comment lack the strawman connotation.
Yours however...

So we are back to

Eat a kolache

Gotta hear it to argue that it is really there.

Any arguement of the useage of any online phrase is just bullshite. One does not know tone or meaning in online text.

Hell, you are famous for misunderstanding meaning.

You always hear the dog whistle online.

You must be more dog than the rest of us.

So your position is, "Christ is King!" is an occult message within Christian sects?

Are you yanking everyone's chain?

That is some exquisitely creative bulls#t analysis, I will say that.

The phrase has gained popularity among far-right figures and their followers. Conservative influencer Candace Owens, who shares antisemitic conspiracies, sells branded “Christ is King” coffee mugs and T-shirts.

quote:

Analyzing social media postings between 2021 and 2024, the institute reported a dramatic increase of the phrase “Christ is king,” often used as a hate meme targeting Jews. The report lamented this deviation from its historical use as a hopeful, sacred affirmation with biblical roots.

quote:

A recent meeting of the Religious Liberty Commission, a group President Donald Trump created and appointed, put the phrase and related controversies in the spotlight.

At a Feb. 9 hearing focused on antisemitism, one witness, Seth Dillon, spoke of often hearing people use the phrase “Christ is king” followed immediately by a highly contemptuous slur toward Jews.

“This should offend every Christian,” said Dillon, the CEO of the conservative satirical site The Babylon Bee.

quote:

Dillon said no and that, as a Christian, he regularly declares that “Christ is my king” — but context matters.

He testified that the phrase has been co-opted by Groypers, alluding to the followers of far-right influencer Nick Fuentes, who has spread antisemitic views.

What conspiracy?

Many Christians know and love Jesus in personal ways, and one of the titles that belong to Him is “King" and even "King of kings", like it or not. And saying "Christ is King" (and many other things from His word) can be offensive to many that have not come to trust Him.

With that said, often, the intent of the heart is revealed through our actions and words. I’m not entirely sure what other things people are saying (or intending beyond this), but I’m aware that the planting of fake individuals in churches and possibly even synagogues is likely a real and persistent effort meant to create division and deception among those who follow Christ or those who may come to know Him or want to know Him. This idea of planting fake people into places has already been happening in an organized way for a very long time.

In the same way “black lives matter” was code for “white lives don’t matter”, I think is his point.

HA! You call this laughably targeted hit-piece and smear "news"?

DIS-CREDITED right off the bat.

Yes, we are all quite familiar with the ADL and SPLC victimhood industries, agendas and anti-Christian propaganda.

Ooooh -- NOT Seth Dillon, fake Christian of the Babylon Bee?? He claims to "often hear" Muh-"SLURS"!?? I guess that means we need MORE "Antisemitic Laws, huh?

I'm only pointing out the concept you just referenced (straw men)

I can quote anything I wish and use it to make any comment I wish.

And I asked you a simple question to determine the referential value of the comment, as well as test it as a straw man. I can do that on a message board, too.

That comment was not for you nor was it directed at you. It was a general comment.

You responded to my post and quoted this language from my post exclusively:

quote:

quote:

I can't imagine a scenario where a sincere Christian would be happy that phrase is being hijacked for that sort of hatred

LINK

Why would I EVER think you were responding to what I said?

quote:

No strawman. I just played off your "imagine sincere Christian" shite.

That was limited to the language quoted above.

Where was any reference (either by Cruz in the clip or my post) to laws? (third time asking, now)

quote:

Did not try to use anything I said as an argument against what you said. That lack of argument is what makes my comment lack the strawman connotation.

I did use what you said to argue against your point. I specifically asked you to defend your comment by citing the point in the clip where laws were referenced. You still haven't.
