You do realize that middle school is typically 7th and 8th grades, right? That's 12 and 13 years old. A kid who is 14 or 15 and finishing up middle school is probably not going to be the case here., and if it is the case, that child had better be prepared for a career of bagging groceries.

Yes, she's a blithering idiot. "Understanding" this is sarcasm, which is far, far beyond the comprehension and mental capacity of several of y'all here as you get a good portion of your exercise jumping to conclusions. And yes, what I stated about it being a freaking MIDDLE SCHOOL graduation still stands. So many folks have succumbed to the "every body gets a trophy" mentality at this point that you are overwhelmed with a sense of accomplishment at your child's graduation ceremony at the end of each school year.

So yes, I'm belittling the mother for being a dumb-arse for going out and searching high and low for ICE agents who may raid a middle school graduation ceremony as well as the whole idea of a freaking MIDDLE SCHOOL graduation ceremony.

I swear, I think some of y'all probably celebrated your child's first solid bowel movement as an exceptional accomplishment with a family photo and numerous social media posts.

It was a freaking MIDDLE SCHOOL graduation! It's hardly a step above a fifth grade graduation ceremony insofar as lauding academic achievement or even a step of life having been completed. I mean I guess I can understand why she might have thought it more important to look for ICE vehicles rather than attend a middle school graduation ceremony, but she can hardly blame ICE for the fact that she didn't enjoy herself there.

It used to just be called neurotic behavior, and it was understood that women suffered from much higher levels of it. In our modern-day therapeutic/social media culture-female neuroticism has somehow merged with progressive politics to the degree that the neuroticism is political and the political is neurotic. It is now impossible to know where the mental illness ends and the progressive politics begin. It's now one and the same.
