BREAKING: US tariff revenue surged +234% YoY in 2025, to a record $264 billion, up +$185 billion compared to 2024.
In December alone, tariff revenue jumped +$21 billion or +300%, to $28 billion.
This followed $31 billion recorded in November and October.
In the 2nd half of 2025, tariff revenue averaged $30 billion.
At this pace, tariff revenue will rise to $360 billion in 2026, up another +36% YoY.
Tariff revenue is surging at an unprecedented rate.

- The post reports a 234% year-over-year surge in US tariff revenue to $264 billion in 2025, visualized in a Tax Foundation chart showing cumulative customs duties climbing steeply from $79 billion in 2024, driven by new broad-based tariffs under the Trump administration.
- Monthly collections averaged $30 billion in the second half of 2025, with December hitting $28 billion, reflecting accelerated implementation of a 10% universal tariff plus targeted hikes on China and others, as confirmed by Treasury data.
- Projections indicate $360 billion in 2026 revenue, a potential 1.7% boost to federal income per Tax Foundation estimates, though economists warn of offsetting inflation and trade retaliation risks reducing net gains by 20-30%.

I was promised that tariffs would increase my costs! That isn't happening and I am angry about it!

That could fund Somali daycares in Minnesota and Maine for about two months.
I enjoy the added revenue but we aren’t putting a dent in the deficit until we tackle this rampant fraud. Unfortunately both sides of the aisle are on the take and don’t want to rock the gravy train.
