If plane was carrying Assad he is cooked. The flight data clearly points to it being shot down

This would have never happened when Hafez al-Assad was in power.

He ruled with an iron fist, and crushed enemies before they could rise. His secret police, the Syrian GID, were terrifying during his rule.

Junior was trained to be a doctor, wasn’t cut out for long term ruthless dictatorship. Though he lasted longer than expected.

Yay more radical Islamic terrorists. Anything to make Russia look bad

Syria fell in 10 days. That’s faster than Afghanistan falling to the Taliban in 2021. Not a good look for Russia especially since they were actively trying to assist Assad for the first 8 days before turning their attention to evacuating yesterday.

No, it’s HTS

Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham

quote:

Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS; Arabic: ???? ????? ?????, romanized: Hay'at Ta?rir aš-Šam[54], lit. 'Organization for the Liberation of the Levant' or 'Levant Liberation Committee'),[51] commonly referred to as Tahrir al-Sham, is a Sunni Islamist[55][56] political and paramilitary organisation involved in the Syrian civil war. It was formed on 28 January 2017 as a merger between Jaysh al-Ahrar (an Ahrar al-Sham faction), Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (JFS), Ansar al-Din Front, Jaysh al-Sunna, Liwa al-Haqq, and Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement.[3][57] The unification process was held under the initiative of Abu Jaber Shaykh, an Islamist commander who had been the second Emir of Ahrar al-Sham.[3]

The civilian government of HTS is the Syrian Salvation Government

The leader of the main rebel force HTS used to be aligned with ISIS but HTS disavowed ISIS in 2020 or 2021 and has been fighting against ISIS the last few years. They also say that they are only interested in Syria. The kurds and the US backed Syria Democratic Forces have played a role the last few days but ISIS Lite (HTS) has been the key player.

Does this not create another power vacuum in the ME? I guess Western Governments will welcome this, but deep down they know it just creates another Government that’s full of people that simply can’t coexist with what’s left of Western values.

Why would they give a shite? The entire point of the CIA and Deep State is to keep the US forever involved in foreign affairs to enrich themselves, massive multinational corporations and launder money

That's the CIA/Deepstate goal. They know the Ukraine/Russia grift is over. Time to create a new one

Did you type that out with a straight face? Islamic Extremism can’t be trusted, because at the end of the day, that’s all this is.

Turkey is behind this. This isn’t being orchestrated by nobodies. They’re going to fill any vacuum created.

They actually have an end goal.
