If you really did go to the Croatian coast, especially Dalmatia and not Istria, you most likely supported "Muslim" business without even knowing it. During the Tito presidency, he gave favorable treatment to the Kosovar Muslims and gave them first choice at owning small businesses in prime tourist locations. Today, most restaurants in areas where tourists frequent, are still owned by the descendants of those Muslims. Since they most likely have the same last name, they are still considered Muslim even though mosques are few and far between in Catholic Croatia.
