To be honest I don’t know enough about the geography of the border to comment on the logistics of opening fire on people at the border. Are you suggesting we only open fire once they attempt to cross or as they approach? I just worry that there would be innocent lives lost if people are lost or if people are trying to approach a border patrol officer to ask for directions or something and just get shot.

Doubtful. They aren't fricking primitives. I'm sure their spies walk right in through the airport terminal, nice and legal like, as do everyone else's.

Last week, a group of 116 African nationals were caught wading across the Rio Grande River into Texas.

This is fricked up.

Such heart. Much bleed.

To be honest, IDGAF if they stop at the border to ask for assistance, but if they're inside the border and fleeing, they're fair game, IMO.

Yeah that’s what I was asking. What is the point at which the US would open fire. That makes more sense.

Additionally, if you're a BPS team and you see a horde of 1,000 invading nationals, I'd break out the bullhorn and make every effort to stop them well ahead of the line, lest they get a few warning shots in the dirt.

How CBP catches these en masse is amazing.

I think most of these mass 'captures' are 'asylum seekers' - come over and find the nearest Border Agent to surrender to and make their claim of asylum.

They'll eventually walk a few over with Ebola.

Russia admitted they "misplaced" numerous suitcase nukes when they had their worst issues over there. Would hate to see any of those walked across the border.

No, that's a job for our BPS and US Military, IMO. Our borders need to be actively defended.

Predator drone them, if it's safer for our troops.
