So...does this mean Cleo gets to keep his district?
Probably not.
But who here has a sneaking suspicion that Jeff had a long term plan. Get Garret Graves out by redistricting, give Cleo a district for two years to get him out the legislature, redistrict Cleo out of a district again, and hatch a plan that would likely lead to Republicans in all 6 congressional districts forcing Cleo back to the legislature or have him decide to run as the Democratic Senate candidate against Cassidy or some other Republican that barely survives the Republican primaries.

There should not ever be a district of any kind whatsoever based on race.

Just out of curiosity, if AI were to create geographic districts to align with racial demographics, I wonder what those (ai districts would look like?
On a final note, there are black, Republican Representatives from largely white districts in the neighboring state of Texas.
What does the Louisiana NAACP say about that fact-based reality?

So if these districts are thrown out can new districts be in place for the mid-terms? What's a reasonable time frame for something like that?

You would still be able to draw districts based on income, house value even political party that’s not in question. so I don’t see the big deal. Race should not be a factor
