Was the Tower of Babel built before or after the flood? And who said how many people were there to build it. Exactly what year did this happen and exactly where? You don't know.

Can you reasonably trace this population doubling every 50 years much further back than that?

Yet there is. The Genesis account for one. Is the order right?

Also, Did you know Jesus spoke to you and people like you:

John 5:46/7

quote:

46
For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
47
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

He is referring to the first 5 books of the bible. Genesis.

I'd be inclined to say time does exist to God. However, He is not bound by time for He is eternal

Assuming the chronology of Genesis is accurate to give us the flood 4500 years ago, a tower larger and more threatening to God than the Pyramids was built ~100 years after the flood. One of the great Pyramids took years and 30k people. So to get from 8 people to greater than 30k needed we would need a growth rate and maturation beyond the limit of technology, knowledge, and medicine of the Bronze age.

We are not some other organism. You cannot compare our species to any other. Why would you even try to do that?

Because of consistency and showing that the growth curve is wrong. There's no reason a bacteria couldn't overpopulate the universe according to the rules applied to human population growth. The model used is simplistic and flawed to the point of being laughable. Further, it fails to account for the plateau we are projected to experience and have begun to show.

Genesis has fully formed plants before the birth of the sun. So, no the order is incorrect.

One thing the idiots that believe in Noah's flood never think about is that it would have destroyed all life in bodies of water and all the plants on the surface of the earth.

Rain is fresh water. It would have diluted the oceans enough to kill all life in them and at the same time the organisms that lived in fresh water would have mixed in the water and died too

The salty water (too salty for fresh water organisms and not salty enough for salt water organisms) would have killed all plant life on the surface of the earth.

Not only that, but where did the rain water come from? To have that high a flood, it would have taken an insane amount of water. And for every inch rise on the surface of the earth, it would take a lot more than the previous inch.

Holy shite, so many humans are dumb and can't think about things on a deeper level. Suckers think penguins walked all the way from South America to the Asia/the middle east. fricking insane.

Noah would have had to have a massive aquarium and the largest greenhouse ever seen.

Take one square foot of earth, and there's untold thousands of organisms in that dirt. How did they survive?

Noah's ark is a fable, nothing more.

I mean, considering he put it all in place anyways??

They aimed the Hubble at the most desolate region of space it can see, and it still found tens of thousands of galaxies in that one small spot.

We live in a universe vast beyond our comprehension, and humans living on a backwater solar system in an inconsequential galaxy think some all powerful god gives two shits about them.

We are truly an arrogant, narcissistic species.

Don't believe God was so much threatened but the conduct, building of the tower, was an act of defiance and these peoples, post the flood, were divided and dispersed. This was the beginning of Abrham's call for a people to be set apart, God's chosen, the Israelites. However, fast forward to the Day of Pentecost and those divided via Babel were reunited as the disciples proclaimed the Gospel when 'speaking in tongues'...understandable language and not nonsensical babbling as we oftentimes see in today's time. Punishment, fine, but reconciliation provided.

Not the point, I'm specifically approaching the idiocy of young earth and recent flood narratives. In which the tower would have been built by an army of children.

There are quite a few references to a great flood across varying civilizations as well those related to this tower event.

I shared a possible reason beyond a bricks and mortar and workload explanation, fwiw. As for young earth adherents, I sought to address earlier

I believe that if you study that, you will see that you are not correct.

We know for a fact that we do not need sun light to grow plants. That's a fact.

You keep arguing from a Young Earth point of view and demanding that it is where others are coming from.

We ar telling you that it doesn't have to be a young earth. Yet you KEEP stating it over and over.

Plant.

1.
a living organism of the kind exemplified by trees, shrubs, herbs, grasses, ferns, and mosses, typically growing in a permanent site, absorbing water and inorganic substances through its roots, and synthesizing nutrients in its leaves by photosynthesis using the green pigment chlorophyll.
