quote:But whether a person is in unlawfully isn't he room because they overstayed or because they broke in, they would both be guilty of the unlawful presence--which would be a civil issue in this case. The person who broke in though, would be guilty of breaking and entry as well--which is analogous to improper entry.
For some reason, that concept is difficult as frick for some people to grasp.
It's like checking into a hotel and then squatting there after checkout time and acting like you own the place.
In fact, it's more like a minor traffic ticket, which is a civil issue. If one is pulled over for running a red light, then that person is guilty of a civil traffick violation. If that person happens to be driving a stolen car, intoxicated, driving without a lisence, etc., they are still guilty of the civil violation, but they are also guilty of a criminal violations.
In other words, the civil violation and the criminal violations are not mutually exclusive.

I'm sure you were grinning when you thought of an argument that being in the country illegally is akin to a minor traffic violation. But people with even a little bit of common sense know that argument is bullshite.

quote:No. People with ANY sense would understand that I'm not trying to make a comparison between traffic violations and immigration violations, I'm comparing the relationships within traffic violation to relationships within immigration violations.
But people with even a little bit of common sense know that argument is bull shite.
So I wasn't grinning before, but in case you're wondering, I now have a look of confusion due to your inability to understand a very basic use of an analogy.

And does ICE really want American born, lilly white Caucasians?
Wouldn't it be nice to live in a neighborhood like that?
Oh wait it is and I already do!

Do you even demographics? Amnesty is forever, your stupid tax reform and health care can be undone. And these people you want as citizens so bad will never vote with you.
Maybe my fault but I tend to evaluate issues on their individual merits, and not politics asa teamsport where everything has to be a means to me winning. I'm not dying for these DACA kids to be in but it seems the right thing in most of their cases, even if they won't vote with me on some other issues.

The student was expelled for calling the authorities.
Think about that for a moment.

I'd imagine it was for isolating a fellow student like this in a public manner on social media. That's never going to go over well with administrators.

Sounds like Taylor Ragg got a life lesson on what happens when your petty and people find out. Good move by the school.
