Even less. A nothing-burger at least has bread.

They won't even get to eat that...

We're talking about a hush money payment in the final days of the campaign. We're talking about unethical behavior by Cohen (at best) by paying the money and not even telling his client. At worst, you are looking at Federal elections crimes since Trump didn't report said in kind contributions.
And this is the trick the Dems and the MSM (I know, same thing) were planning. They were going to go public with an 11 year old affair just a few days before the election, hoping it would hurt Trump with conservatives and /or religious voters. It's an old trick that the Dems are quite good at. Trump's options: Do nothing and possibly lose the election, or pay Daniels to keep quiet and open yourself up to what Trump is dealing with now, a non-stop barrage of MSM stories all centered around the theme "It's not the sex, it's the payoff."

Yeah, right.

An aging, out of work porn star is suddenly relevant and desperately needs to find a way out of a contract she signed so she can be paid to tell her story on every platform imaginable. All those interviews will pay way more than $130,000.

It's consistent with her claim that no valid NDA exists. Thus the money she received was paid in error. She's clearly a very honest woman to offer to pay it back voluntarily.

Has been under contract for 17 years and just renewed. She's been a director for 15 so her age isn't an issue.

I'm sure at first she thought she could make a few thousand out of this because Cohen fricked up, but now that Avenatti is involved I think this is gonna go much deeper. It's no longer about whether Trump signed or not. It is now about did he instruct his attorney to make false statements or did the attorney do so himself.

The scandal isn't that a terminally dishonest man cheated on his wife. It's that the effort to cover it up involves hush money that either came from the campaign or benefitted it.

It's really not stupid at all. I mean, it will never happen, but it's not stupid to try and put yourself in a position to make bank.
