We're talking about a hush money payment in the final days of the campaign. We're talking about unethical behavior by Cohen (at best) by paying the money and not even telling his client. At worst, you are looking at Federal elections crimes since Trump didn't report said in kind contributions.

If Trump admitted to being 'DD' in the NDA, then the whole thing, the original affair, the payout, setting up an LLC to facilitate the payout, the fact that the payout was in fact an undisclosed campaign donation or illegal expenditure, would constitute multiple state and federal crimes and no contract can force someone to stay silent about criminal activity, thus rendering said contract null and void.

It sounds to me like she approached this lawyer looking to shake Trump down. The lawyer told her “Well, this isn’t worth much, but we’ll give you this amount to avoid the headaches and just make you go away”.
If she thought she really had something worth selling her silence for, she could’ve gotten way more than $130k. But then, as I’ve indicated, she’s not exactly the brightest crayon in the box.
