If the graph is correct, why does it assault your feels?

As I suspected, people so desperately want the virus to be a hoax and a complete fabrication that they will downvote and personally insult someone for sharing a simple fact that goes against what they want to be true.

I'm literally being accused of defending the virus, cheering for the country to stay shut down, because I shared the simple fact that pneumonia deaths are not lower than usual during Covid. One of the main facts thrown out as nauseum to support the idea that Covid has actually barely killed anyone. Because I want to make sure that if people are arguing certain points, they're at least not using flawed graphs in their arguments.

People here will literally latch onto the flimsiest piece of info that supports what they want to be true without doing any further research or fact checking. It's happening with the "revised lower CDC numbers" that are not actually lower.

It's sad. This board is sad.
