Unfortunately, that’s probably not doable for her

I think that she actually BELIEVED she was doing the right thing = I don't understand it, but I am not aware of any hypocrisy in her rulings.

I think she was a nice person in the same manner my liberal/progressive sister is a nice person. That's about all I have.

I think a goodly amount of this fervor emanated from the Republicans' decision to use abortion as a political football in the 80's.

Right after she was confirmed she gave a speech at a conference/ seminar in DC that I attended. She was not a disagreeable person. she read the law differently than I would have liked, but she came across as genuine in her views. After the seminar there was a reception and she was there and was quite nice. She did not come across as an ideologue in person, at least then.

She was a fighter. She always fought tooth and nail for for the causes she believed in even if that meant skewing the laws and constitution to fit her narrative.

Like some, I wish there were more people like RGB. People that stand for what they believe in and are unwavering regardless of what people think about you. Now too many republicans go out on limbs and when they get burned by their colleagues, the media or social media they come back hat in hand and apologize.

Her selfishness allowed Trump to get to pick her replacement. That is about as positive as I can come up with.

I dislike RBG less than virtue-signalling pussies.

Is that nice enough?

I thought it was 96-3-1

quote:

The United States Senate confirmed her by a 96–3 vote on August 3, 1993

That being said I disagreed with her often but she was well known to get along very well with conservative judges was usually magnanimous in her writings.

I’ll take her 10x over Sotameyer.

ETA: I will add that her selfishness in not stepping down while obviously on death’s door is incredibly selfish and has put the country into unneeded disorder. I get not wanting Trump to replace you but just dying in late September when you know this is coming instead of retiring was a great injustice to this country; left, right, and center.
