Where did I mention 'location'? Geography is NOT location.

Damn, you're even more stupid today than usual.

I won't reply to you again in this thread, fwiw.

This is hilarious. Russian has retreated to suggesting that the reason St George shouldn't be a city is because of an undefinable term
You really are intelligence challenged if you can't follow the discussion comparing Zachary to SG.

I see you didn't answer my question. Or, is that my answer? Got it. Thanks.

so you wont answer my question on "identity". I get that, it was a pathetically weak argument and you got trounced pretty fast by a number of posters.

At least you didnt go with Winston and the absurd race angle, gotta give you that at least.

You seem even more shrill than usual about StG. I hope that these people can see their ideas be put to vote in the public forum. Such is a great way to let the people decide. Let them stand or fall on their merits. You, however, seem hell bent on making sure that those people dont have an avenue to bring their ideas to the public forum. It shows a lot about who you are, and what you stand to lose.

It's predictable. He does it in pretty much every one of these threads. He conveniently ignores how many times he has posted inaccurate information regarding SG.

If St. George happens, but BR gets to keep the mall, perkins rowe, the casino, etc.,then St. George will have to raise taxes. If St. George gets to keep these areas, then BR will have to raise taxes. Either way no one wins by separating the two. It seems that St. George is only concerned with strengthening themselves, without regard to what happens to their neighbor, Baton Rouge. But do the supporters of St. George realize that when they weaken the city of Baton Rouge, and it's schools, that the problems Baton Rouge will face will bleed over to St. George? Or will St. George build a wall to separate themselves from Baton Rouge?

Or, SG can just refuse to pay legacy cost and call it even.

I don't think legal costs equals that kind of revenue

As if they were ever going to pay legacy costs without a court ordering them to do so......

Just like Central has ignored their similar, pre-incorporation commitment thus far.

Will only people in the possible St. George area vote on this?

ok, so that means I will not vote on it. I don't think. Riverbed is right on the border according to the map I saw a couple months ago. (meaning I won't be in St. George city, rather Baton Rouge.)

If you mean Riverbend subdivision off of Brightside Lane, it is in the city limits of Baton Rouge.

Only unincorporated areas are included in the SG incorporation petition.

And once the MoL was removed from SG's greedy hands (and there will be other annexations before a vote is held), BR will be just fine with its finances.

Then what basis do you have to oppose it? Are you just fundamentally opposed to self-governance?

Baton Rouge will then have a drain on the people and a bankrupt development. Yay, BR!

Explain how creating another layer of local government 'shrinks' government.

It creates a more local government for the people of St. George.

That's a good thing for the people of St. George.
