A lot of people just aren’t curious. When I moved to Japan some girl I knew asked me ( while standing next to my Vietnamese gf - now Mrs Pimp) if the Japanese and Vietnamese spoke the same language. I said “ as far as you know” . Which is a phrase my kids have come to know very well.

The corollary to this is the guy that thinks he’s an expert on everything. Stay in your lane people. That includes Hawking. Stay in your lane, genius.

Lack of intellectual curiosity is not a sin imho. The sin is when you combine your lack of curiosity by regaling those around you with your opinions of things you know nothing about . We all know that guy ( not naming names).

Insanity, because it was never necessary in order to attack Iraq.

Hawking was a brilliant mathematician but a lot of what he said was him just expressing his opinion and repeating what people already knew. Everybody already knew there was no WMDs and that Hussein and Iraq weren't directly involved in 9/11, him regurgitating that through his voice synthesizer didn't mean a damn thing. He also said we will have to leave Earth in 200 years and colonize Mars because of muh warming, I guess being really good at physics and math makes you a geologist, a philosopher, political consultant, etc. Dude was like a really still L. Ron Hubbard.

That's just absolutely stupid.

Ummm...no it isn't. Every war since the French Revolution has been planned and financed by a small elite group....every war.

There were reasons for each war...to help carry out their satanic plans.

Go search for the truth. It is out there. Once you go down that rabbit hole, you ain't coming back.

It wasn't just for a "war in Iraq". It was for political reasons to justify to the public the war....and It was to establish a war on terrorism, which we can never win and it can go on as long as they want it to.

If you were fooled by anything you were told, that's your fault, not his.

None of that was necessary to attack Iraq or Afghanistan.

In fact it would be the most ridiculous and risky thing ever.

linkage to September 11 had proved untrue.
I was not a big fan of the rush to attack Iraq. However, I firmly believe underlying rationale was to draw anti-American terrorists onto a battlefield of our choosing, rather than allowing AlQaeda to do battle in the streets of US cities.

Regarding Hawking's statement, there was neither direct linkage, nor attempted direct linkage of Iraq to 9/11. That is simply a lie. Never happened.

But post-9/11, the world did change.

Post-9/11 related actions against Saddam were based on his continued threat, and the POSSIBILITY of eventual Al Qaeda cooperation based on an "enemy-of-your-enemy-is-your-friend" premise.

We know without any question whatsoever Iraq was capable of WMD production.
We know without any question whatsoever Al Qaeda dearly wanted WMDs.
We know without any question whatsoever Iraq refused cooperation with UN WMD inspections.

In denying those indisputable FACTS, Hawking was simply duplicitous in assertions ignoring them.

Instead of teaching us how to theoretically turn a black-hole in to a sun, maybe he could studied a little biology and crouched over a microscope for five decades and figured out how to cure ALS.

Just my honest opinion, because that is what I would have done.
