Maybe don't charge $17 for a cup of shitty coffee.

I don't go to Starbucks, but I look forward to people posting how their prices have gone down in a few months.

This has not been my observation. The need to explain the critical role of each of these civil servants has been widespread and loaded with drama.

I do concur that simply emailing hundreds or thousands of employees listed in probationary positions and firing them without cause or any kind of effectiveness review seems impulsive. Telling department X you want a 10-15% operational budget reduction and give them 30 days to submit a plan would have allowed leadership to make pragmatic choices. And maybe you tell them to find another 10-15% over the next fiscal year. I don't know, but do agree that the slash and burn approach is likely to create a new set of problems that could be just as problematic as administrative bloat.

specific job rolls maybe but most people are ok with reducing a workforce for a reason.

Or we cut park rangers by 10% because we evaluated staffing and we didn't see the utilization to justify full time staff there only seasonal. Most are balking at disorganization and the poor treatment of government workers.

This is what I wanted to see. You reduce the government and it's waste this way without having as many unintended consequences.

. If they really want to improve their shops they need to ditch all the uncomfortable wooden chairs and buy stuff with cushions.

I wouldn’t know; we have a regional chain where I live, owned by a veteran & conservative. If I’m not near one of his stores, I’ll drink Circle K coffee before Starbucks. Haven’t been in one in nearly a decade.

If Starbucks wanted to help their customers, they would take away the not sneaky or clever at all, "hey this little machine has a quick question for you, then just hit enter", tip line.

Didn’t Starbucks make the news recently because they were going to keep all the DEI policies in place? Starbucks would rather layoff 1,000 people instead of cutting all the DEI bullshite!

If they had DEI re: employees then it must have been in upper management because I don't see it behind the counter. They've always had diverse baristas and they all do equally well. One issue I see is obesity. Behind the counter is very little room and on a busy day 2 obese kids are gonna have trouble passing each other. Happens a lot.
