Holy crap, it looks like some of these folks in the Obama administration could face legit charges and see jail time over this matter.
Who could've seen this coming?

Sorry I just doubt that anything happens. McCabe has had a “criminal referral” for over a year. Hell he wrote a book for crying out loud.
Trump has not declassified anything...the IG reported that Strzock and Page’s text were inappropriate but “were not politically motivated.”
I have just accepted that little to nothing is going to happen. Sure they might get a low level scalp or 2 to make it look somewhat genuine, but no one in the Obama or Clinton admin is going down for this stuff.
And as a result, it will be the greatest failing of the Trump presidency.

You know, I see lots of people say this, but no one can ever tell me why they believe it. Sitting on the sidelines with your head in your hands in full Eeyore mode isn't going to get it done. Have you called your Congressman to let them know how you feel? Have you reached out to both Senators? I have, and I encourage you do the same. They need to know that we are sick of this sort of double standard being applied to what has become the ruling class.
You do understand that in the course of literally writing the book on negotiating, your President included a whole chapter dedicated on revenge, yes?
ETA: I should note that justice being applied to this treasonous cesspool is by no means revenge, but rather their getting what they deserve. I raise the point to show that DJT understands the importance of reprisals against those who have wronged you.

100% correct.
The Dums and their FNM are calling it revenge in order to say it's wrong to try to obtain but we all know it is really justice which is right to try to obtain.

These people tried to pull a coup against a duly elected president. Trump and his family were directly threatened. If Hillary would have won, she would have destroyed him and his family.
Trump is not going to sit back and do nothing.
These bastards are going down.

Comey already trotted out this line when he was asked about Trumps DOJ investigating him and FISA abuse and the Russia investigation.
He called it targeting political adversaries.
Ironic, considering that’s exactly what his FBI is being investigated for.
They will call Trump Hitler, Stalin, and Putin if he indicts Obama era people. Book it.

Yes, I have...both, in fact. The problem with this is that aside from a handful of congressmen (Meadows, Jordan, Collins, Nunes, etc) I just don't see anyone who wants to "go there".
Sure Trump has a chapter in his book on revenge, but, seriously, why hasn't he declassified the FISA warrant and application? And don't give me some BS about 4-D chess, etc. He was ready to release it several months ago, but England called him and made the claim it could damage international relations etc. But now he can't release it because he is playing some master game?
And we are supposed to trust the DOJ to clean this up? The inspector general? No, this crap will get buried. They might sacrifice a few scalps, like I said earlier, but the institutional corruption? nah....it will never get the justice it deserves.
We will hear snippets of stuff that will be released for the next year or so. It will be enough to satisfy the few hardcore that something/anything is about to happen. However, all that will be is a tapping of the brakes. In about 3-4 months, the Democratic primary will suck up all of the oxygen, and references to this will be a thing of the past...just like "lock her up" is.
And I'm as pissed as everyone who cares about this issue. But if Trump seriously wanted revenge, he would declassify NOW, and demand that Barr appoint a second special counsel. Both of those are his "right" as POTUS to do....

If the belief with respect to Spygate is that they have it all, and we haven't seen DECLAS yet, then it begs the question "What are they waiting on?", yes?
I certainly don't have the answer to that, and I imagine that much of anyone outside of the senior administration does.
There appears to be a distinct order of operations at work.
From where I'm sitting, it appears that it's something to the this effect:
Mueller Report to AG > AG Summary > Full Mueller Report Release > OIG Horowitz Report on FISA Abuse > DECLAS of Page/Papadopolous/Flynn/Manafort FISA Apps > Unsealing of Huber Indictments > SHTF
We're in between steps 2 & 3 at the moment.
ETA - Your cynicism is warranted and probably should be lauded, given that the only evidence we have to this point is that swamp creatures cover for their own. I choose to take a more optimistic approach, because we've never had a CEO POTUS until now.

Statute of limitations? That’s all if got. It’s been almost 3 years since the start of Crossfire Hurricane. And nada.
I’ll add that it’s complete BS the only criminal referrals have come from Congress. The DOJ is either super stealth, or complicit in burying this.
Posted on 4/8/19 at 10:14 am to VoxDawg
I tend to think that’s the path as well.
Another thought is that every time they release something or start investigating something / someone. That person starts talking (either publicly or privately) and so do their friends/co-conspirators. The feds can use their surveillance powers to record and track them all - so every time they start talking shop about new items - another possible person entangled.

I hope you are correct. And if you are, I will gladly eat a hefty plate of crow.
And your timeline makes sense. But if crimes were committed in 2016, 2017, 2018, they are crimes now. Why the wait? Arrest one of those cheesedicks, threaten them with treason and make their punk arse talk.
Posted on 4/8/19 at 10:29 am to Ten Bears
As to "why the wait?" I wish I knew. My more reasonable side tells me "t'is madness, yet there is method to it."
Trump's a big Art of War guy, so it could be as simple as taking the Napoleon approach: "Never interrupt an enemy while he is making a mistake."
Clearly Trump knows what he his doing. The big question is whether or not his supporting cast is as all in as he is.

This is the million dollar question. And, this is why I have become so negative about this. They (Trump's advisors) got to him on the eve of the FISA declassification - literally the night before. I'm sure he was "advised" of international relationships, etc...
I can only assume he is now being "advised" that the "institutions of government" are too important to be ripped apart, and that it can be cleaned-up from the inside.

Almost the entirety of the establishment politicians in both sides of the isle in DC, the intelligence community leaders, Fusion GPS, the Clintons, The Obamas, etc....
This country is filthy and fricked. It needs a bath and an overhaul.

I don't think they will be idle threats. I think we're going to see legit treason/sedition charges levied against a whole host of characters.
I'd wager we'll see the first round of those criminal referrals from Nunes this week, and the names of all the major players is going to be awfully familiar when Horowitz/Huber start to open up the can, likely in the 2nd half of this year.
McCabe
Yates
Comey
Clapper
Brennan
Lynch
Rice
I'll take that as a Round One.
