Depeche Mode too is far and away better than Springsteen.
But yeah, Prince is one of the GOATs. He had more talent in his left hand than Springsteen has in his entire body.

that prince show i mentioned - richmond va what used to be called the mosque (not kidding. i think it's called the landmark now), he had everyone in that audience in the palm of his hand. best part - he pulled 8 or 10 girls from the front row onstage to sing along to kiss. when he got to girl 6 or 7, a big ole fat black girl, grabbed the mic out of his hand and belted out the "ya don't have to be rich to be my girl" lines. place went nuts
eta - no way. never looked before but here's the entire show. 11.8.2000. you can hear big girl at the 1hr 49 min mark

Prince? Not a fan. I can agree he's talented, but don't like his music outside a few songs I'll listen to, but never seek out. I actively dislike When Doves Cry.

I never really liked him. I graduated HS in 88 so my high years was when he was at his peak of popularity and I always thought he was extremely overrated.
