There is no downside to this now. We aren't making them pay a price for it. That's really the only thing that matters.

People in interracial marriages are mentally ill now? Hot take.

Your probably on the MAP committees in your locale.

The word you are looking for is “you’re”, and I’m afraid I don’t know what your acronym stands for, so I doubt I’m on that committee.

There's nothing wrong with interracial couples being represented in the media.

There's always that unspoken "but" at the end of your thoughts, isn't there? "There's nothing wrong with interracial couples but I don't want to see them on my tv." That's it, that's all you've been saying this whole thread. It's racist on it's face.

quote:

I don't want to get bean counters and strict limits involved. There's certainly a wide-ish range I'd be perfectly content with.

So what do you want? What's your range? You've refused to say what's an acceptable amount of representation every time it's been asked. 1 out every 6 new marriages are interracial. 17% of new marriages, 10% of all marriages. Since 1980, the number of interracial marriages have tripled. It's only going up from here. Do you want that same representation in commercials? 1 out of every 5 newborns are mixed children. Same thing, 1 biracial child out of every 5 babies in a Gerber's commercial? How about income levels? What part would that play in your acceptable range of interracial representation? Be prepared to see more asians, they marry out almost as much as hispanics and make more money than everyone. You have no plan because you have no knowledge, only your feelings.

And there'd be no way to enforce it as I wouldn't want the government getting involved - trying to police this show or that commercial. It's just something I'd like to see the industry as a whole adopt on their own.

You can't say what the right amount is, and you don't want bean counters or the government involved. In the end, you punt it back to the Madison Ave wokies you accuse of orchestrating this massive social engineering project. If it's this harmful grand design, I would think you would want to do something about it, right? Nope, shrug your shoulders and walk away.
You're a conspiracy theorist that got his feelings hurt because he didn't like seeing mixed couples on the tv. "I'm tired of this miscegenation! Damn cultural Marxists!" That's right, man, evil Sonic is planning your demise. Instead of making cheesy tots they're bringing down whitey. Good job sleuthing that out.

quote:

I guess at the end of the day it all boils down to the source of the change. An increase in interracial couples would explain a rise in representation, but I think it's more than just that. I think woke culture is also pushing on the slider because I think they're pushing on every slider.

Yep, more conspiracy nonsense. It's not the organic and accelerating rise in the number of interracial couples in America that drives marketing. Oh no, it's a sinister plot by the wokies, the malevolent forces that control the machine. They're everywhere, man! I bet if you removed your tinfoil hat and turned off your television, you wouldn't be so bothered by mixed couples having lunch. I know, I know, you don't have a problem with it, but
