Put a smaller sign below the Trump - "anyone caught trying to steal this sign will be shot". If you could rig up an outside speaker with a recording of a shotgun blast going off about every 5-10 minutes would be a nice additionally touch.

There might be legal issues with booby traps that do significant physical harm, but you can make it miserable for them.
Surround the posts/mount points with fresh manure from the farm. Or your dog. Or your toilet if you’re brave.
If it’s dark/dimly lit, they will stomp around it a few times before the smell hits them. At which point they will realize they can’t get Back in their car or home.

It’s pretty fricking childish to steal someone’s yard sign. The most MAGA people I know wouldn’t touch a Biden/Harris sign. They’d do what any normal person would do, openly mock the person displaying it.

Myself, I would just setup on the porch with a good bottle of scotch, and my neighbor’s two Rottweilers, Ty and Zeus.
Hell, they spend so much time at my place they think of it as their own turf anyway .... “chomp ‘em, Zeus”
