There is a protocol for poking holes in flags. It's not doing it. Trump has no problem with that kind of disrespect.

I'll tell you that there are a few things that you are missing:
1. The vast majority of people understand that it's respectful to stand for the anthem
2. Those that aren't doing so in the NFL are PURPOSELY choosing to be disrespectful. This isn't a mistake. When the issue blew up, they didn't say "oh, we're sorry. That wasn't our intent. We'll find a different way to get our message out." Instead, they doubled down and tried to convince people that they were wrong for being offended.
Your inability to figure this out on your own says a whole lot about the opinion you've formed.
