I disagree and look to 2016/2017 for evidence.

I suspect they DA did so knowing it would not stick as charged. Ending up, they will go for a lesser charge and/or lenient sentencing.....probably still pretty stiff and deservedly so. The Democrats win win.....guy will be in prison for some time, career gone...and the Dems get to stoke another gas fire against police and jusicial system.....all because Dem. DA overcharged.

Definitely overcharged. Manslaughter is the correct charge.

It is a win/win for the liberals.
The DA gets too look tough and please the black community. Then the libs get to riot all over again and push the Marxist agenda of getting rid of the police and call the US systemic racist.

Yes. Almost constantly. By exception.

You could have saved a lot of work by stopping right there.

Ya think?

I don't even think Chauvin has greater than a 40, 50 percent of conviction for even Manslaughter. Man said he couldn't breathe before Chauvin even got there. He wanted to lie down. EMS was onsite.

Maybe depraved indifference, but I doubt the requisite intent is there for even manslaughter (although I admit I'm unfamiliar with the specifics of Illinois' manslaughter statute.)

Shocker liberal media edited the video to show only what fit their narrative. Now the whole tape comes out to show George Floyd was high as a fricking kite and his heart pounding out of his chest before the cop put his knee on his neck...........fricking crickets from the FAKE NEWS. The cop was wrong but I can see this going to court and with the WHOLE video played these cops walking free. frick YOU FAKE NEWS

You people see what you want to see. Punishments fit the crime in this country, commies.

I completely agree with this.

After looking extensively at Floyd's autopsy report, there is no doubt in my mind, the combination of his severely compromised heart (major blockages in two main arteries) and the amount of meth and fentanyl in his system were what ultimately killed him. His heart simply gave out.

Chauvin or another responding officer should have noticed Floyd's medical distress and rendered aid accordingly, but here we are.

They called EMS almost immediately.
