Remind me again of when that occurred? Mid-60's as Baby Boomers were entering the workforce as adults?

LBJ's Great Society was started in 1964 and 1965ish. The earliest Baby Boomers were in their early 20's then and were hardly dictating US policies and laws. Baby Boomers might not have stopped the spending, but it would be a hard task to lay the Great Society at the feet of the Baby Boomers.

Hardly. ObamaCare is struggling on Life Support. I would hardly call it efficient.

Why not make these people on welfare/medicaid pay more?

My deductibles and insurance premiums have went up since obama-fraud was enacted.

Poor liberals.

Years ago, they could call reductions in growth "cuts" and it would basically remain a secret to all but the engaged.

They could rely on the MSM dutifully parroting the "cut" language.

It's getting harder for them to keep their lies out of the hands of the general public these days and they're getting angrier and angrier about it.

The vast majority of upheaval in the individual markets is due to deliberate sabotage of the law by Republicans.

They can't afford to. Those getting the tax cuts in AHCA/BRCA can.

They will go up much more if AHCA/BRCA becomes law, for worse coverage.

I agree. That includes Louisiana too, right?

We had to borrow just to balance our budget a few years ago.

No way we operate in the green. Without meaningful cuts we are in the same boat.

No, it's a cut of over $800B over what they would get if the law is not passed. All to give the wealthy a tax cut.

Indeed, Medicaid is wealth redistribution at the end of a gun barrel. Hussein admitted as much in the past couple of days.

Ya gotta love liberals.

"Hey, let's pass a law that mandates growth WELL beyond the inflation rate...........then, when sane people show up after us and try to bring it back to sanity, we'll call that a "cut"".

Interesting that you would characterize no longer requiring someone to purchase a product at the threat of imprisonment as "deliberate sabotage." I'd call it "unshackling."

They were no longer required to do so, so they fled. Like from East Germany.

LBJ and the majority of the Democrats in Congress at that time were not Boomers.

It's almost as if health expenditures have historically grown faster than inflation, and we can account for that.

Who knew?!

Nobody went to jail for the individual mandate, it was deducted from your tax refund.

If you're that ignorant on the law, what makes you think you have a handle on AHCA/BRCA?

(you don't)
