Ok, since this thread is still atop page one, I did some figuring last night and want to share.

BamaAtl has been bleating throughout this thread about the sanctity of life, and how 24,000 people dying (his claim) per year without Medicaid/Obamacare is totally unacceptable.

55 million abortions in this country since 1973.

24K people per year "dying" from lack of Medicaid/Obamacare.

It would take the latter group 2291 years to catch up with abortions.

BamaAtl seems pretty evil when you think about it...

No it isnt. Your blanket generalizations are just as ignorant an thoughtless as your perception of the scapegoats.

Should people in tough situations, economically, take personal responsibility? Sure. Should we blame society as the scapegoat? No. Like everything, there is a deeper story that you're missing here.

From top to bottom in this culture we've created, we never put enough care into our education. Our critical thinking skills are God awful. Cultivating awareness is a fringe idea at this point. All most everyone cares about it feeding their ego and hording shite until they die. We're too short-term.

The level of "give a frick" is low from top to bottom. Really poor people repeat what they know in their environment. Acheiving doesnt feel real and is often sidetracked by working shitty jobs just to pay rent. Some of them look for handouts because its easy ut its short-term thinking. You cannot better yourself by never learning delayed gratification.

The wealthy in our culture use the same short-term thinking and make justifications, for blaming poor people, so that they dont have to think about how badly our culture doesnt value critical thinking, awareness, and empathy.

Your sterilization stance is sick and you need help.

Prohibiting dregs of society from having kids they can't afford is sick, but allowing the same dregs to have an abortion isn't sick?

Weird.

Who says it should be rewarded? Stepping in and helping by advismemt seems better to me.

One is by choice and the other one is a product of an authoritarian govt. The fact that you can't tell the difference is what is weird to me.

Also.....

You do realize that poor people do most of the jobs that you gain services from, right? Eithee youre under 25 and from a wealthy family or youre a full on sociopath who is also not very bright.

Maybe you should read up on my stance because nowhere have I advocated for the govt to come in and sterilize the poor.

What I HAVE advocated for, Is offering them a lump sum of several grand tax free to voluntarily get sterilized.

This will prevent them from making a shite decision of having kids they can't afford, while giving them a lump sum they can use to better their pathetic lives.

The fact that you can't understand the difference is weird to me.

Edit. I lied. I also advocate for all violent felons to be sterilized before they are released back into society.

Okay? Point? Don't have kids you can't afford. Simple as that. It's not hard to not get pregnant.

Close. I'm 26.

I do have an extreme lack of compassion for people who make shitty life choices. If that makes me a sociopath, so be it. As to not being bright, well. I graduated college? Am I a genius? No.. But I'm smarter than many and more.
