IF this does escalate any further I truly hope we dispense justice swiftly and thoroughly. No more getting mired down in 15+ year wars with fractions of our true forces available, send everything we've got and get it done quickly like ripping off a band-aid.
Everyone half-jokingly says to nuke them back to the stone ages, but since that's not realistic I hope we would do everything short of that. Time to end it and put the fear of god into the ME once and for all.

I think people in Washington are trying their damn hardest to get us into another war in the ME because they know that’s the ONLY thing that could cause Trump to not win re-election in 2020. Hopefully President Trump sees that

Agreed. I’d say just go ahead and shut them up now if there wasn’t a chance of China and/or Russia getting involved.
It’s a shame that the US has to take harassment from a country that chants “Death to America” in the streets and funds terrorism just so to avoid WW3.
If we act, let’s not go in town to town seeking bad actors and dragging this shite out. Let’s just take out all military assets and cripple their economy and walk away. If they rebuild and still want a fight in 20 years we’ll give them another
