The amazing thing about this, and something you always have to keep in mind when dealing with these people, is that they actually think they are making really profound and persuasive arguments with this delusional and illogical nonsense. It is why dialogue with most of the left today is totally and utterly futile. It’s pointless, EXCEPT for the possibility it brings to sway moderates, the uninformed, and the apathetic. It is few and far between that you will sway one of these mutant, radical leftists with honest, good faith discourse, so the goal should always be to engage them with the intent to make an appeal to others who could be influenced by your arguments. For this reason, mockery is absolutely legitimate.
