A few months ago I watched a pretty informative Youtube video/doc on how they fricked it all up.

The underlying cause was pretty standard, expansion too fast via various debt sourcing. The problem was that they couldn't produce enough content.

That's why all the super crazy stuff started appearing.

They still had ok stuff with the political-partisan slant you'd expect, but then they had a whole lot of just utter insane shite.

Even then, they still produced some good stuff. Dark Side of the Ring is top shelf content

Actual real vice media is dead. The handful of Brooklyn mavericks have been long gone. It’s turned into TMZ for junkies and contrived sex deviants
