It’s terrible. I had to go back to google unfortunately.

I love it. Got a few addons (stuff Chrome has but it doesn't) and paired it with the vastly improved Firefox, and I haven't used Chrome in months. Its search results aren't biased by your search history and of course Google's influence. I took a few days to get used to it, but once I gave it a fair chance I didn't look back.

I switched to duck duck and it is worth not using google. I may not search for as much porn as you though.

One thing I’ve gotten dependent on is searching for a place and google using my location to find it in my area....maps etc

Google is the best SE available. I try to use others like duckduckgo just because I know google is an anti-american company. But unfortunately I have to use them for various things that most people don't use a search engine for. Tools like, show results for no copyrighted material, or pages that have been updated in the last week etc.

It’s up 50% usage year to year. Fwiw I’ve never used it but they just got more funding as well

I've been trying to use the duckduckgo mobile app but its significantly slower than the chrome app. I will gladly welcome the duckduckgo app as it improves.

Sounds wonderful. Suggest you never allow anyone to use your phone who seems even the slightest bit less than absolutely pristine, like Billy Graham type pure in action. Ever. Justice Kavanaugh would agree I bet.
