I can’t imagine framing celebrating the nations 250th birthday in such a way.

Seriously though, why do you hate America so much?

Political persecution is not “dissent.”

Your idols weaponized the government in order to maintain power.

You supported that weaponization.

NOBODY professing to love democracy would do so.

Then again, you goose-steppers lie with impunity.

We can only hope that the Dems that love America eventually wake up and see what leftists are attempting to accomplish here…tyrannical authoritarianism of the most evil design.

They are vile, and violent.

He didn’t just “flirt” with overturning an election. He pressured state officials, pushed false claims, leaned on Pence, and then watched it all boil over on January 6. That ain’t flirting with the line. That’s putting your boot across it and then acting surprised somebody noticed the footprint.

I can’t imagine thinking that election integrity in 2020 was beyond reproach, but you do you.

You know something you complainers of January 6th always seem to leave out is President Trump offered Nancy Pelosi thousands of Police and Help for security for Jan. 6th and she refused it. I would guess she wanted it to happen and that is why it was refused.

Someone as intelligent as you claim to be should be able to figure that out.

Why dont you run for dogcatcher because i might vote for you.

Naw on second thought i couldnt trust you with animals.

And this is where the standard seems to change. When Democrats abuse power, it’s the end of the republic. When Trump does it, suddenly it’s just Trump being Trump, or it’s already winding down, or everybody needs to move on.

Democrats DID cross the line, and we’ve moved on. Trump DID cross the line, though not as bad as the dems did. The dems actually affected a change in the president AND they DID obstruct an elected president.

Maybe not, but maybe it’s just what we needed - for dems to feel the whip themselves, then perhaps they won’t wield it next time.

I’m confusing nothing. The message from the left has been, “America was built on slavery.” A bunch of bullshite.

And there it is. You’re not really defending a principle anymore. You’re defending payback. You started with “Trump crossed the line, but not as bad,” and then landed on “maybe Democrats needed to feel the whip.” That ain’t constitutional conservatism, it’s revenge in a church shirt.

If Democrats abused power, condemn it. If Trump abuses power, condemn it. Same ruler. Same courthouse. Same standard. But you can’t call one side’s abuse tyranny and the other side’s abuse medicine just because it scratches your itch. You don’t save the republic by taking turns cracking the whip. You just teach every future president that the only rule is: get power first, settle scores later. And once that becomes the standard, nobody’s defending the country anymore. They’re just fighting over who gets to hold the switch.

Yes, I am. Unlike you, I’m not in favor of punishing team red and letting team blue slide. Team blue did and got away with it. Time to put the screws to those mother frickers. If team blue is not made to suffer there will be no progress toward more civility.

Maybe now, cooler heads on each side will come together and agree on a more civil set of rules for the future.

Well, there it is.

You ain’t talking about civility. You’re talking about revenge and trying to dress it up in Sunday clothes. “Put the screws to those motherfrickers” ain’t the language of a man trying to save the republic. That’s the language of a man who wants his turn with the whip.

And this idea that you make people more civil by making them suffer first? That’s a mighty old excuse. Every petty tyrant who ever kicked a door in told himself it was for peace tomorrow. If team blue crossed the line, hold them to it. Fine by me. But if team red crosses it too and you call that justice, then you don’t have a standard. You’ve got a scoreboard. Cooler heads don’t come together because one side got beaten low enough. They come together when grown men finally admit the beating was the problem.

Right now you ain’t arguing for law and order. You’re arguing for payback first and rules later. And that’s no way to run a country. That’s how little boys settle grudges behind a feed store bubba.

I don’t hate America. I hate watching America get used as stage dressing for one man’s ego. There’s a difference between celebrating the country and throwing a taxpayer-funded campaign trailer with flags stapled to it.

I can love the Fourth of July, respect the flag, honor the military, and still say a politician turning the nation’s birthday into a vanity parade is tacky as hell. That’s not hating America. That’s refusing to confuse America with whoever happens to be standing in front of the bunting. Some folks see a flag behind a man and think criticism has to stop. I see a flag behind a man and think the man better act worthy of it.

It’s the 250th.

Your take totally leaves that out.

It’s like you are intentionally ignoring context in order to support your TDS (which, not so ironically, is an example of your TDS).

In short, IF you love America, then you hate Trump more than you love it.

And you are the little boy who hits first and then cries, “Teacher!” Nope. See you behind the feed store. That’s how this country got started. We took the British “behind your feed store”. After that was settled we adopted rules.

When we finish whipping your arse hopefully we can agree to be civil. But the era of democrats ratcheting up the political violence is over.

Son, you ain’t a patriot. You’re just a lil tantrum in boots. You lost the argument, so now you’re thumping your chest behind the feed store like a rooster with a head injury.

The Founders built a republic. You’re just looking for a permission slip to act stupid.

No, I didn’t leave out the 250th. I just didn’t pretend the number magically baptizes everything Trump does with it. The country turning 250 is worth honoring. That’s exactly why I don’t want it turned into one man’s vanity float.

And “TDS” is just the little panic button y’all mash when you can’t answer the point. Criticizing Trump at a national celebration doesn’t mean I hate America. It means I can tell the difference between the country and the politician trying to stand in front of it.
If your love of America requires me to clap every time Trump wraps himself in the flag, then you’re not defending patriotism. You’re defending a costume change.

You really are a loon.

The PRESIDENT of the USA is addressing the nation on its 250th, and you shite on it because you have a terminal case of TDS.

Again, you HATE Trump more than you love America (IF you actually do love our country), and that is telling.
