Ah. Interesting premise. We're talking about a group which earned more than its predecessors, and followed few preceding financial norms, yet chose to follow that one en masse?

Perhaps you're correct.
Afterall, of all the "advice" which might have been afforded, that bit would indeed coincide with the group's stereotypic procrastinatory tendencies.

Is that sufficient basis to blame others instead of accepting accountability though?

Dude, you're just as stupid as he is if you can't see that I've been arguing on your side this entire time.

I meant the properties listed were not shitholes, and that was a direct jab at the idiot you've been arguing for 30 pages with.

Pay attention if you're going to involve me in your posts.

This is an interesting exercise. You don't seem to disagree that decent $200-$250K places are available. You just don't think the places someone else is picking meet muster. That's fine.

Years back, when we were home searching in an equivalent range (current zillow price is $250), we went through about 70-75 homes before we pulled the trigger. Still, when we sold, we basically made nothing. But we learned a lot from the experience.

Doing what? Way more high paying jobs in urban areas. Is it more affordable in the country if you are making less with fewer opportunities for growth?

They know everything, just ask them.

When they wonder why we’re laughing at them, just smile. Frankly stupidity like SDV is funny. They really don’t get how ignorant they are, and can’t be bothered to learn.

I expect to see them one of these days at an intersection with a cardboard sign begging for money.

It's not "hard to understand." My contention is that in a market where $250 is perfect, if one couldn't afford perfect, it's a virtual certainty there would be acceptable options at lower price points. Even more so 2-3yrs ago before home prices and rates both shot up. That's the point intended.

I dont know whats so hard to understand about that either.

If your budget for a house is $150K you should really be renting. Because all your options will be shitholes with little room for appreciation.

If that were true you’d be correct. It isn’t, so you’re not.

There is more to the country than the bubble you’re in.

For fricksake. I have said now about 10 times the parameters i was working off of was a 22yr old .aking 70k salary

They should not put down 20% and woulf not buy those shiteholes that were posted. Especially when that payment would be 1200 vs 1500 for the new build

They would be better off with the new build or renting.
A family struggling needing a roof then yeah those shiteholes wpuld work

Hopefully thats clear. Anyone arguing those listings arent shiteholes are morons

Even the dumbarse real estate agent from Bama knows it
