The best part of it is Al Franken playing a senator on the judiciary committee before eventually becoming an actual senator on the judiciary committee.

That’s an outrageous amount of talent in that sketch. SNL was never the same after that crew left the show.

That was when you had one generation on the tail end of their time there (Carvey, Hartman, etc) while the next generation like Chris Farley was on the way up.
Hell, they even managed to get Chris Rock on the air as Long Dong Silver for that one.
