Legally (hooray, 1st Amendment).

then you agree that all the "counter-protesters" who didn't have a permit yesterday were behaving illegally and should have been dispersed/arrested

We know that. One woman is dead due to the Nazi violence.

It won't work. I could see one side (pick a side) booking a protest/march/parade every day for the foreseeable future. The other side would be blocked out.

You can't charge money to hold the day, as it would be unconstitutional.

Yeah, it seems sort of interesting how this is basically lost in the "story" here.

in the past 24 hours, anytime i've tried to discuss anything other than "Nazis are bad. Nazis started the violence. Nazis killed that girl" narratives, i've been called a Nazi. so good luck with that

Whenever you get a permit to rally for something abhorrent, you should expect a counter-protest to be covered under the same permit.

Your fault for being abhorrent, honestly.

But is it, in a legal sense?

So that's the test?

Whatever a group subjectively finds abhorrent?

Cool, next time there is a pro Muslim March its OK to show up and give them hell.

Your rule, not mine.

Thanks!

What law do you think the counter-protesters broke?

We know what laws the Nazis broke.

Assault. There were counter-protestors assaulting citizens apart of a lawful assembly.

You rely on buzzwords because you don't make real arguments. This is how you survive when you have no arguments. Sadly even those buzzwords are just a repeat of unconfirmed or proven 3rd hand information from the twitters of salon and buzzfeed probably.

Do you know what proof and evidence is?

I'm sure the unarmed counter protesters were incredibly active in assaulting the protestors who were open-carrying long guns.

The right-wing rally-goers admit they're Nazis. Are you plugging your ears because you don't like what that means for your views and your party, or are you truly uninformed of this?

Assuming this is true, our Constitution protects their right to be Nazis.

Nobody's arguing that it doesn't. Btw, it's true. You can unplug your ears.

But that wasn't the argument being refuted - he said I rely on buzzwords because I have no point. In this instance, Nazi isn't a buzzword - it's the literal thing that these right-wing rally-goers want to be called.

Also, our Constitution protects the rights of those who wish to peaceably counter-protest their Nazi rallies.

1. do you believe the Nazis who obtained permits to march violated any laws when they were marching unmolested?

2. if you believe their march to be legal, what do you think should be the limits of legal response to this march?

only if they follow the same TMP restrictions and don't engage in other illegal behavior, like violence
