I mean... If it's a one off celebration of some sort, during the day... I'm not that concerned. If it's a common thing and they are constantly disturbing the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, then I'd be pissed. I'd rather have Indians around me than another particular demographic. Just substitute that for constant booming bass from car stereos rattling your entire house at all times of the day, loud arse gatherings outside all the time and possible gun play. I'm okay with some annoying Indian music for a little while every so often.

Looks like its the Elephant-head Boy holiday for them. Everytime I go to the river to go fly fishing this time of year, there are little elephant-head boy (Ganesh) idols in the water next to the boat ramp. On more than one occasion the yellow paint on them has made me jump in excitement thinking I had found a DeWalt drill or screw gun that someone had lost - only to be disappointed to discover it's a Hindu idol.

Moving to another state, in the same country =/= moving to another country altogether.

The same concept of "home town pride" applies. This is human nature, people.

She actually has no pride or romanticism of her old country and is fully American. She would never fly an Indonesian flag over a USA flag.

Now do Italians, the most cartoonish, and obnoxious frickers in the country. I wouldn't want the bullshite in the video in my neighborhood, but don't single out one group and ignore one that's been here for over a century and still speaks of the Old country.

So so someone’s neighbor is Indian and they are having their family over for a wedding party.

75% of them all are probably tax paying citizens in the healthcare or tech industry.

So what’s the problem?

I don’t think it’s a wedding. I’ve been to some but I could be wrong.

I only worry about an invasion of another demographic. I'd be OK with these folks.

And yet, with all that great economy they still live in a filthy stinking nasty country.

And no, the inner cities of the US, while bad, are not as nasty as places in India.
