That only works when the state in which you live allows you to defend yourself with deadly force. Once they start imprisoning people for defending themselves (which they do in many leftist strongholds) then the crazed lefties need to be infringed.
So unless you're ready to start insurrectin' in leftist areas (for real, with physical force, putting yourself and your freedom on the line) you need to allow us to keep whackazoid leftists from getting guns.

This is why I support schizophrenics having guns. If guns can be taken away from mentally ill people with violent tendencies, then they can be taken from us stable law-abiding citizens as well.
It's also why I don't support taking driver's licenses away from drunk drivers. If their license can be revoked, than any law-abiding citizen can have theirs revoked all willy nilly, too.
