Only Congress via the impeachment process can try and convict a President.
That's for removal
A President could be convicted of a crime and remain President, especially if jail wasn't involved.
A President could be removed and not convicted of a crime for the same factual allegations.
They're 2 difficult things

You’re a simpleton. You’re premise is stupid. Assuming one is guilty and one is innocent is a farce.
You’re a proven liar. You are a fraud that claims to be a lawyer. Which is a crime.

I know cubbies and SFP personally. They aren’t the same person. We don’t agree politically, but they are both good people.

Would blow my mind. Powerman is smart. But he doesn’t understand the law like you.

while you are a tad socially awkward (self admitted), you are not even close to P-mans level.
and to answer your original question, a person you hold in high regard always says, "No one is above the law" - Nancy Pelosi.
I wonder if taking bribes by the President or Vice President rises to the level of treason? If not, it should.

quote:Correct. The Constitution is unassailable and the President pledges an Oath of Loyalty by proclaiming to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution represents "We the People". The President answers, ultimately, to the People and is NOT unassailable.
If the president has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution, then that’s a major failure of our system

Thought about using that instead of bribes because I see both posted about on here constantly.
ETA: the "deprivation under color of the law" is a new NPC meme that could also work

By the way. Without disclosing anything specific. You see we won that big case I was there for when we last saw each other? I didn’t get anything for it, but it was nice to win.

is this about the false equality of taking bribes vs the political charges Jack Smith is fabricating?
Posted on 1/6/24 at 7:51 pm to BBONDS25
Oh no. They seem to try to keep discussion of that case on the DL. But that's good to hear.
I only know of that case because of the army of lawyers and rolling carts that would show up randomly for hearings.

Yeah. It was a complete victory.

I’m lawyer number 4 out of 10. Haha. I think we are actually done with it. Amazingly. Until the matriarch dies. Then it’s back on.

You should be immune from covid. You've probably had 45 boosters. I bet you still catch covid.

You might as well be asking,
Why do we even have laws at all.

I know what you are trying to do here, but equating hard evidence of bribery and corruption to some nonsensical accusations of leading an insurrection is fricking stupid. Even for you.

The underlying criminal allegation is literally irrelevant to this discussion.
