Yes. Absolutely. Same goes for any elected office.

Yes, it was a terrible oversight by the founders.

They were brilliant but not perfect.

And they knew they weren’t perfect.

Natural born congressmen have no allegiance to their constituents so who cares. they're all either bribed or blackmailed. nothing will get better while sin is rampant.

Yes. If you don’t truly understand our laws, and influenced by foreign laws, you can be a proper judge.

I have a buddy whose parents are from Colombia. He was born and raised here. His family are proud Trumpiatas, but he says he used to have to to explain the differences in our laws to them. Some things are natural to them like him. They overall get it now but still not 100%.

Other notable immigrants just from South Africa

Elon
David Sacks
David Friedberg

No reason they shouldn't be able to be elected officials, judges, etc.

It was a very different time then in regards to immigration. Immigration from Europe was fostered because we needed population to fill our vast land.

The Senate’s role in confirming them is supposed to ensure they’re competent and capable. I don’t think native-born has anything to do with it.

I support this for all elected officials. Would exclude anchor babies and "birth tourists" also.

This is dumb.

Appointment and confirmation should be based solely on merit.
