CNN is done, Navy.
It's on in every Operations Center, Airport, 4 or 5* hotel, and Embassy in the world. Get out of your box, my friend.
Just because something is still on it's feet doesn't mean it's not dying.

Graph a trend line of CNN's ratings over the last 10 years and see what it looks like.

CNN, let me get this straight. You think that your client, one of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the world, is secretly a vigilante who spends his nights beating criminals to a pulp with his bare hands; and your plan, is to *blackmail* this person? Good luck.

And Trump responds to this by letting advertisers know that he could help them in Washington with regulations but CNN will be against it unless they can "turn" CNN. Those advertisers will get the message by getting the message to cut their advertising spend with CNN so CNN is "turned".

CNN is on the losing end here.

I spent decades working with the middle east and North Africa, had offices in St. Croix and Amsterdam.

Still lived here.

You could have just been honest and said the trend looks like shite for CNN.

Blatant threats from a news organization. Wow

As if CNN would frame Trump in a good way should he be nice to CNN. Lolz

Also, Trump doesn't seem to care what others think. He is focused on getting America a better foundation again and it might hurt a lot of feelings along the way. We shall see

A bit unprofessional, but you're missing the broader point. No president has ever won a war with the press. He has a million things to do, and he does it under their microscope.

They have one thing to do, and they are broadly protected by law and precedent.

I wonder what would happen if the administration made an effort to curtail access from beltway media, and bring in reporters from "flyover" country.

I know one argument would be that covering the White House properly requires specialization and continuity. Also, my impression is that broadcast and print media outside of the beltway are run by the same corporations for the most part. The goal would be to get reporters in that are more in touch with everyday people. Not sure how achievable that is with the corporate media structure in place today. What am I missing?

Being in opposition is a winning feat for any media or partisan body.

By nature of the Human Condition people are naturally dissatisfied. And they're keen to blame everyone but themselves. Parents, children, foreigners, tycoons, industrialists, the poor. The media and academia are always convenient targets.

But the Government is better still.

They haven't been the opposition, they were Barrack Hussein Obama's biggest cheerleaders.

Or did you miss that?

The perception of Donald Trump is shaped in capitals around the world, in many ways, by CNN and George Soros.
