You know how big government leftists always hated the ultra rich? Well now that they’ve successfully infiltrated and are now ultra rich they no longer support the “little guy”.

Basically a bunch of blue collar workers took their stimulus checks, threw a few bucks @ GameStop & fricked the hedge funds. Someone else can probably explain it better.

What SEC regulation was broken, there was no fraud, there were millions of transactions made by millions of different people, not a handful of people conspiring together.

Did you screencap it yourself or did you pull it off social media?

No way in hell that happens, if they do then the market becomes a mass public sham.

Agreed. This will be a hard lesson for both sides once this experiment is over

Nancy and Co can buy options on stock they have insider info making them millions but joe the plumber can’t buy a stock from a tip they get from an Internet forum.

You guys are terrible at making predictions. The most they will do is fine a few people and put pressure on reddit, twitter, discord, etc to stop it from happening again.

Ironic because Musk's $420 buyout tweet caused the same euphoria but since GS and Citadel made money it's not noteworthy

Now that's great. Looks like some hedge funds got their hands caught in the cookie jar.

Some people who trade stocks discovered that Gamestop's stock was massively shorted (I think 130% of outstanding shares; if everyone took some stock (since it was cheap due to the shorting), the value will go up (which almost certainly turn into profit for them) and the hedge funds who shorted the stock would lose money.

And that's basically what has happened.

Here is a (probably better) article that can explain it.
