I'm making a distinction between...
Traditional, multi-generational household: 3 generations or more. (Waltons - 1930s & 40s)
"Nuclear Family" household: limited to 2 generations, 2 parents. (Leave it to Beaver - 1950s & 60s)
Single parent household: two generation, one parent. (One Day at a Time - 1970s and 80s).
The first one is traditional, the second one was contrived for economic purposes, third one has become more normal in modern times.
The traditional, multi-generational household is still the best model for building wealth. The "Nuclear family" isn't as "traditional" as we are led to believe.

When I say making everything gay I mean it's literally embedded in everything now pride month, the rainbow, entertainment. If you are gay and don't shove that you're gay down people's throat I have no problem but once you start shoving it people's throat, calling people bigots, and demanding kids learn about queer theory and sexualizing them than I have a problem.

I do think that, ideally, it is the best kind of family as far as child rearing is concerned because it provides the diversity of male and female parenting. Again, I'm talking about an ideal setting where there is no drug abuse, alcoholism, or physical and/or sexual abuse

No, it isn't. The best kind of family is multi-generational where the grandparents can care of the children. That way, you don't have to pay for child care OR elderly care. However, in the US, we now ridicule adults for living with their parents.
I think we both agree that the single parent household is the least optimal.

I proposed moving her in with me when she came back to Louisiana, but my sisters talked me out of it saying she didn't want to live in Baton Rouge (but couldn't bring herself to tell me), and that she also needed more care than I could provide. At 86 years old, every day with her in the world is a good one. I hope your mom lives at least as long.

There’s more implied by “nuclear family” than the living arrangements. The structure itself couldn’t have been contrived, as it was a subset of your first one. If you want to say that the living arrangement was contrived that might be accurate, although I haven’t seen any evidence that it was top-down drive as opposed to organic. Did the government provide similar incentives that led to single parent homes or did increased mobility and wealth lead to the decrease in multi-generational homes?
