$2k for a studio in DC in a decent area of town sounds pretty damn frugal to me - saying it's "one of D.C.'s most expensive apartment buildings" is probably a stretch, if not an outright falsehood. Unless she's moving into a penthouse, she's probably saving the taxpayers some money.

Although there have been more than a few freshman congressmen that slept in their offices for the first several months, so it's not like she's walking the socialist walk

The studio in D.C will be her crash pad. The villa on the Chesapeake and the cottage in the Hamptons are soon to come.
