Well, I mean, you'd think SOMEBODY in the "black community" would advise them against letting this assclown speak for them, wouldn't you?

And again, how do you know somebody didn't advise them of this? Because you didn't hear about it on the news? Because we can all trust everything the media says and does, amirite?

Really agree with this. The media has an interest in playing up racial conflict (really any conflict). Moderate voices of reason don't get as much play because, well, they are less interesting than media whores like Al Sharpton or Ann Coulter.

Thanks for replying to that point. Every time I bring that point up, no one touches it. But they respond to all of my other posts, though....

I don't.

But if they did, they sure didn't make their voice heard.

I think we both know it didn't happen. You just feel the need to play devil's advocate.

Or maybe they got no air time. People on here always blast the media for having a race-baiting agenda. For only pushing a certain narrative. How do you know thats not happening yet again here? Blacks speaking against Al doesn't fit MSNBC (among others) narrative, so you don't hear about them.

Why so much faith in the media all of a sudden?

interestingly, the only ones who do, on fox and talk radio, are routinely blasted by the black community at large.

The correct sentence is "No, we don't know". Sadly, like most of the progressive warriors your claims on intelligence are belied by your continued failure to grasp simple concepts, use grammar and punctuation correctly, belief in far strung possibilities because they fit your narrative, and by the fact of being a progressive.

You know. You're just not intellectually honest enough to come on out and admit it.

...according to the mainstream media and the likes of MSNBC, which we all know is so trustworthy, amirite?

So again, FTR, you do not trust MSNBC at all....except regarding their portrayal of black people? Totally makes sense.

What are some of my political positions that lead you to believe I am a a progressive warrior? I'll be interested to hear this.

And nothing was wrong with my sentence btw. The whole "can't use two negatives in one sentence" rule is just something they teach you in grade school when you are beginning to learn grammar, but does not necessarily apply broadly. If someone says "we know X did not happen," replying "no, we do not know X did not happen" is perfectly acceptable.

and on twitter.....and on fb, it's by the general community. It's sad, you keep trying to reshape the argument, but you are just flailing away. Im sorry if you dont like the fact the black community supports this tPOS.

Actually it is...

Actually, I didnt specify that was the problem. Here you go again, tilting at windmills...

It is acceptable...but it isnt ideal. Surely someone who is so intelligent would understand how grammar works? Construction of a sentence can occur in a myriad of ways, but some ways are more correct than others.

Again, I enjoy you continuing to show off your brilliance here..it's reminiscent of Navy and his claims, then failures.

Are you this distrustful of the media when their narrative fits what you want to believe?

Because if not, you're just as guilty.

The fact that you are even going through the trouble of pointing this out on a message board tells me all I need to know. Seriously, "it is acceptable, but isn't ideal" on a TD post considering the prevalence of poor grammar on here?

So, I guess the bottom line here is, unless 100% of black people feel exactly the same way it's inappropriate to refer to the "black community"??

It's really gonna suck to have to list all the like-minded black people by name. That's going to be time-consuming.

Of course I am! I do not trust anything that comes from MSNBC, FOX, etc and I don't spend time watching them.

And I'm not the one with the narrative. I have admitted multiple times on here that "I don't know." You are the one making the definitive statement that "no one spoke out" without supporting evidence.

This is a message board. It is for expressing opinions.

I would like your opinion: do you believe that anybody in the "black community" advised the Brown family against having Al Sharpton speak for them? If so, I'd like to know how you've formulated this opinion.

Yes or no, please. Being that I'm asking for an opinion, "I don't know" is a cop-out.

Which is totally fine. But you made it seem as if anyone who did not share your opinion was being intellectually dishonest, which is what I disagreed with.

So I assume by "black community" you mean any ol' black person?

This isn't a cop out, but what am I supposed to base this opinion on? Which is why I kept saying IDK. I literally don't know anything about the Brown family or who is around them or who they may associate with. I think its possible someone told them "stay away from Al." I think its possible someone told them "Al is awesome you are so lucky he is coming!" I think its possible that someone told them "ehh Al is a douche but he has his own show and a huge platform, so at least he will have people talking about your son's death." I can keep going but you get the point.

A sure sign that a person has lost the debate is when he/she resorts to criticizing a poster's grammar and speeling.
